Born from a Need the Industry Ignored
Black Travel Now was founded in 2023 by Travis Robinson with a simple but powerful conviction: Black travelers deserve a media brand that truly sees them, speaks to them, and serves them.
Travis had experienced firsthand what millions of Black travelers know — the frustration of searching for travel content that reflected the Black experience, the struggle to find safety information relevant to Black people, and the absence of a trusted resource for the events, destinations, and experiences that matter most to the diaspora.
What started as a vision became a mission. BTN launched with a commitment to cover the full spectrum of Black travel — from luxury resorts to budget adventures, from Greek cruises to family reunions in Ghana, from solo expat journeys to medical tourism in Colombia.
Today, BTN is growing into the premier media brand for the 40+ million Black Americans who travel — and the millions more across the African diaspora worldwide who are ready to explore the world on their own terms.
